Setting Off on Our 12-Day Journey Through Central Australia!

We are thrilled to announce the start of our epic 12-day adventure through the heart of Australia. From the awe-inspiring Uluru to the diverse landscapes of the Outback, we're ready to explore some of the most iconic sights Down Under. Join us on this journey as we traverse through remarkable locations, each offering unique experiences and breathtaking views.
Day 1: Melbourne to RenmarkWe begin our journey by boarding our 5-star Rockleigh Tours coach, heading north to Renmark. This day is all about setting off and embracing the adventure that lies ahead. Our chefs will cook up a feast, ensuring everyone is well-fed and ready for the days to come. We will stay overnight at the Renmark Riverfront Caravan Park.
Day 2: Renmark to Wilpena PoundTraveling through the historic copper township of Burra and past Peterborough, we head into desert country to reach Wilpena Pound Campground, where we'll stay for the next two nights. The journey includes potential sightings of the Indian Pacific train and spectacular desert views.
Day 3: Exploring Flinders Ranges National ParkThis extraordinary landscape is rich in history and wildlife. We'll enjoy a hike into Wangara Lookout, with an optional hike to St Mary’s Peak for the more adventurous. The day is packed with opportunities to explore and connect with nature.
Day 4: Wilpena Pound to Bush CampLeaving Wilpena Pound, we pass through Port Augusta, known as the "Crossroads of Australia." We then head towards the Opal mining town of Coober Pedy before setting up a bush camp near the Painted Desert, sleeping under the stars for a truly unique experience.
Day 5: Bush Camp to YularaContinuing north via the Stuart Highway, we cross into the Northern Territory, stopping at the Erldunda Roadhouse to see the emus. We then make our way to Yulara, setting up camp at Voyages Resort and enjoying a sunset over Uluru.
Day 6: UluruA full day at Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, where we visit the Cultural Centre and explore the gigantic monolith of Uluru. Options include a morning climb (subject to policy) or a guided base walk. The day ends with a refreshing swim at the resort pool.
Day 7: Uluru to Kings CanyonWe visit Kata-Tjuta, known as "many heads," and take a cultural tour to uncover some of the sacred mysteries of the Anangu people. After exploring the Valley of the Winds, we travel to Watarrka National Park and camp at Kings Creek Station.
Day 8: Kings Canyon to Alice SpringsAn early morning Rim walk at Kings Canyon reveals stunning views of the red canyon walls. We then follow the path of early explorers to Alice Springs, where we'll stay for two nights at MacDonnell Ranges Holiday Park.
Day 9: Alice SpringsA day in Alice Springs includes a visit to Simpsons Gap, the Alice Springs Reptile Centre, and exploring the town. We might also visit the School of the Air, which covers over 1.3 million square kilometers.
Day 10: Alice Springs to Coober PedyLeaving Alice Springs, we travel south to Coober Pedy, known for its underground mines and opal mining. We'll visit an underground mine and try our hand at noodling for opals before staying in bunkhouses at Umoona.
Day 11: Coober Pedy to MelbourneWe begin our express journey back to Melbourne, passing through Adelaide and along the western highway. Meals during the express journey are at own cost.
Day 12: Arrival in MelbourneWe arrive back in Melbourne after the best adventure ever, ready to say farewell to new friends and reflect on the amazing journey.
